ENERGY TAX CREDITS

The federal government has created the Energy Tax Credit (which is part of the 2009 Economic Stimulus Plan) in order to benefit those who purchase and install specific types of energy efficient products in their homes. The tax credit applies to purchases and improvements made between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2010 and may be as high as $1500.
